You two were as close as can be, I mean, you were in fact dating. You had been dating for a long while consisting of six months now and the only problem you didn't fail to notice in your relationship was the harrowing fact that he was leaving for America to enroll for a prestigious university.
And the very fact that he was leaving so soon was devastating.
But of course, you had your future set in stone to run the family business, and you didn't want this seemingly irrelevant piece of both of your lives to drift you both away from achieving your goals. But Tooru being Tooru urged for you to get the mother load of accounts to various social medias and communication apps on your phone and laptop, so that the two of you would never have to worry about how exactly to keep in touch with each other.
Although his excitement was evident with his promises that you two would never drift apart, you always held your tongue into telling him that nearly none of any long-distance relationship ever lasts long. Hearing the excitement and happiness in his voice and how his blissful emotions were spread out amongst his features, you just didn't want to soil his good moods.
And after each dreaded conversation about his departure would always end with his soft lips brushing on the rims of your ears or his arms finding themselves 'accidentally' wrap around your waist. And in those ecstatic moments, your heart would skip a beat, even though you would never admit it to your ever-so cocky partner. And it was in those ecstatic moments, you would forget about the future, and focus on the present.
But there are always slip-ups.
One day you just vented out your thoughts about the whole situation altogether in one fatal blow, at least you thought it would be. "I just don't see how we could keep our relationship steady if we'd be living on the opposite side of the world from each other."
And, as always, Tooru would try to both reassure you and himself from accepting such a harsh reality, "(y/n)-chan, I fail to see the problem here." He played with a yoyo in his hand, as you watched it rise and fall in a repetitive, simultaneous process. "I mean, it's not like well stop talking to each other altogether, I'll never stop talking to you."
You let out a long, yet necessary sigh as your gaze fixated itself onto Tooru's chocolate orbs, "How can you even know that, Tooru?"
A softened and truly genuine expression showcased on his face as he leaned closer to you and placed a chaste kiss upon both of your cheeks, forehead, then a longer peck on your lips, "Expect the unexpected, my precious (y/n)-chan."
You rolled your eyes as you rested your head on his shoulder, before hearing him speak again, this time with an even gentler tone, "And besides, there is no other person I'd rather talk to than you. And I don't plan on losing you anytime soon."
You laughed softly as you felt him place yet another reassuring kiss on your forehead, "That's true. And who else is going to keep you in line."
"You're the only thing that keeps me from going crazy (y/n), I'll never stop talking to you."
Yet no matter how many reassuring words were sent to you in that fateful month, saying how your relationship would cease to dissolve, your intensions told you otherwise. And by the end of the day, more like the end of year, your intensions had proved to be painfully correct.

trouvaille // oikawa tooru x reader
Oikawa had always appreciated how you knew how to be quiet, a trait he never quite managed to learn. People would laugh at the boy, often teasing him how on earth he got such a lovely girl like you to agree to go out with him. He receives grief from his parents and his and your friends alike, always chastising him to treat you well.
And Oikawa knew that months could pass, years (and he hopes that the two of you you will still be together in the matter of 'years' and 'futures'), and he would still feel unworthy of someone like you.
So on a sleepy and rainy Sunday morning, you find yourself finishing your breakfast and none other than Oikawa

Calm Down..! Oikawa TooruxNeutral!Reader
If anyone asked how you felt about the genius setter that is Oikawa Tooru of Aobajōsai High it would be a bland casual 'loud and bothersome'
you didn't see the flirty brunette in a negative appeal but you also couldn't speak highly about the male either
he was often loud and very very immature almost imitating that of a spoiled child who always got his way and threw a fit when he did not
especially when it came to things he wanted once the tall youth got his hooks into something that held his interest he refused to let it leave his side
and yet that bratty prince charm somehow worked its way under your skin and into your beating heart
